State Board Approves English 10 Essential Standards

The Curriculum, Instruction and Technology Division, at the direction of the State Board of Education, has developed Essential Standards for K-12 Mathematics, English 10, Occupational Course of Study, and K-12 Information and Technology. These essential standards are the result of analysis of current research, national and international standards, as well as business and labor market standards. Essential Standards are presented by content area and gradelevel with clarifying objectives. The State Board approved these standards at their September, 2009, meeting. The approved standards for English 10 standards can be found at:
